EXPERIENCE THE ODA AT ANNUAL SESSION
Experience your ODA membership benefits in action when you attend the ODA Annual Session, Sept. 25-27 in Columbus.
ODA members receive a discount on registration costs and a discount on the cost of CE courses. Plus, ODA members who have been practicing for 10 years or less will receive a one-time $50 discount on any paid CE course added to their registration.
One of the top ODA membership benefits is connecting with other dentists through camaraderie, networking, mentorship and building friendships. Annual Session will feature several opportunities and special events for ODA members to build new relationships and strengthen old friendships:
- Passport to Flavor – Hosted by the ODA Subcouncil on Diversity and Inclusion, experience food from different regions around the world, representing the heritage of ODA members, throughout the Exhibit Hall. Thursday, Sept. 25 from 4:30-6 p.m.
- New Dentist Social – All dentists in practice 10 years or less are invited to enjoy a free open bar and appetizers. Thursday, Sept. 25 from 9-11 p.m.
- Faculty Bites & Banter – This special event for dental school and residency faculty/attendings is the perfect blend of professional camaraderie and casual fun. Friday, Sept. 26 from 4-5 p.m.
- Hops & Shops – Enjoy free central Ohio craft beers and snacks hosted by participating exhibitors. Friday, Sept. 25 from 4:30-6 p.m. in the Exhibit Hall.
- Jive After Five! – All dentists in practice 10 years or less, dental residents and dental students are invited to a special happy hour in the Exhibit Hall. Friday, Sept. 26 from 5-6 p.m.
- Callahan Celebration of Excellence Honoring ODA President, Dr. Hal Jeter – Join the celebration to honor Dr. Hal Jeter and the 2025 Callahan Memorial Award Recipient, Dr. Serhiy Radlinsky of Ukraine, along with your outstanding colleagues at the Callahan Celebration of Excellence. Friday, Sept. 26 from 6:30-9 p.m.
- The Bash! Featuring HooDoo Soul Band – Bring your poker face to what is destined to be one of the most popular events of Annual Session, featuring live music, casino-style games and convenient bars. Friday, Sept. 26 from 9 p.m.-12 a.m.
- Dark Roast and Donuts – Enjoy coffee and donuts on us in the Exhibit Hall! Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m.-11 a.m.
- Free Lunch! – Between your morning and afternoon classes, be sure to go to the Exhibit Hall to enjoy your free lunch. Saturday, Sept. 27 from noon-1:45 p.m.
Another top ODA membership benefit is access to information. CE courses offered at Annual Session will cover a wide variety of current topics with up-to-date information. From regulatory compliance to practice management and hands-on workshops to specialty topics, Annual Session CE courses feature information that will help you in your dental practice. Plus, learn about the latest technology and products available in our expansive Exhibit Hall.
Be sure to stop by the ODA Membership Booth while visiting the Exhibit Hall. Take time to relax and regroup with cell phone charging stations and comfortable seating. Information on all ODA programs and services will be available. Bring your team to take a photo at the selfie station, and new this year we’ll have a special station set up where you can make your own Lego minifig to take home.
You also have an opportunity to see the ODA’s governing, policy-making body, the House of Delegates, in action. The House of Delegates determines the policies and sets the direction of the ODA for the coming year. Visitors are welcome to attend the meetings of the House of Delegates on Sept. 25 and 26 to listen to the discussions as long as they are registered for the ODA Annual Session and have an ODA Annual Session name badge on display. ODA members may participate in discussions as part of the Reference Committee Hearings on Sept. 25. See page 5 for more information.
