“We have wonderful speakers, we have nice programs, you’ll get to see all of your friends,” said Dr. Sharon Parsons, 2026 ODA Annual Session general chair. “Please join me, or you’ll miss out!”
This year’s event promises an engaging and forward-thinking experience designed to help you connect, learn and excel. Attendees will have access to dynamic CE courses, hands-on exposure to the latest technologies, valuable networking with industry experts and exhibitors, and memorable special events – all in one energizing, can’t-miss gathering.
“One of the highlights of this year’s program is the Dawson Academy,” Parsons said. “The Dawson Academy has been educating dental professionals for more than 45 years. Attendees can expect to learn new techniques and methodologies to benefit their patients and practices in these courses.”
Dawson Academy’s mission is to build a community of skilled practitioners who explore new possibilities, share knowledge, and collaborate to benefit patients and advance the practice of dentistry. Dr. Neeraj Khanna will present courses on functional aesthetics and dental implants, while Dr. Larry Guzzardo will present on dental practice management, business systems and leadership development
Other featured speakers include:
- Dr. Steve Shufflebarger will present courses on medical emergencies, pain management and metabolic diseases.
- Dr. John Svirsky will present courses on oral pathology.
- Katrina M. Sanders, RDH, BSDH, M.Ed, RF will present courses on implant therapy and periodontics for dental hygienists.
- Joshua Scott from Studio 8E8 will present a course on dental practice marketing.
- Dr. Dan Ward will present a course on restorative care.
- Chris Moore will present a course on OSHA and HIPAA updates.
Annual Session will also feature hard-to-find required courses, including healthcare provider BLS and radiography review.
“This year’s Annual Session will be a restructured meeting,” Parsons said. “We have new Exhibit Hall hours, we’ll have free CE right on the Exhibit Hall floor, and we’ll have more extensive, comprehensive CE courses offered on Saturday so attendees can really dive into important topics.”
This year’s Exhibit Hall will be open on Thursday, Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“I come to Annual Session for a million reasons,” Parsons said. “I get to see friends that I don’t normally get to see from other parts of the state, I get to hear about new things that are going on, and my whole staff comes with me to learn the latest information important for the entire dental team. If you’re not at Annual Session every year, you’re really missing out.”
