ODA Cancels 2020 Leadership Institute

Out of abundance of caution and to help mitigate the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the ODA has canceled its 2020 ODA Leadership Institute.   The ODA took this action in accordance with the state of Ohio’s order prohibiting any event that brings together one hundred (100) or more people in a single space.

The ODA Leadership Institute, which typically attracts more than 250 dental leaders from across the state and is the premiere leadership development program for Ohio dentists, was planned for March 27-28, 2020, at the Hilton Columbus Polaris Hotel.

ODA President Dr. Sharon Parsons said “the ODA has decided to cancel the Leadership Institute in order to protect its members and to be responsible in limiting mass gatherings that can lead to unintentional exposure to the coronavirus.  In light of all of the significant changes that are occurring throughout society – including the canceling of sporting events and K-12 classes, I know our members will understand.”   

If you made hotel reservations, don’t forget to cancel them if you are no longer coming to town.
