From hands-on learning and free CE opportunities to live entertainment, great food and exclusive events, this year’s Annual Session is one event you won’t want to miss.

Continuing Education

This year’s Annual Session will feature 44 CE courses presented by 30 expert speakers. Workshops and courses will be available for dentists, dental specialists, hygienists, dental assistants and EFDAs, as well as courses for front desk staff and office managers.

Annual Session will also feature hard-to-find required courses, including healthcare provider BLS and radiography review. Other courses include a medical emergencies course presented by Dr. Steve Shufflebarger, a course presented by ODA Director of Dental Services Chris Moore on OSHA and HIPAA updates, and courses presented by the Dawson Academy.

Attendees will have a chance to earn up to seven hours of free CE at the CE Stage located just off the Exhibit Hall floor. A variety of great lectures will be presented by companies exhibiting at the ODA Annual Session.

Attendees can also earn up to two hours of free CE at Poster Sessions (formerly known as Table Clinics), on Friday, Sept. 18 from noon-2 p.m. in the Exhibit Hall.

Exhibit Hall

Attendees can browse more than 150 exhibitors, test-drive the latest innovations and connect with the companies shaping the future of dentistry in the ODA Annual Session Exhibit Hall.

New Exhibit Hall hours this year will allow for extended shopping hours on Thursday and Friday, while freeing up Saturday for attendees to take more in-depth courses.

Exhibit Hall Hours:

  • Thursday, Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • The Exhibit Hall will NOT be open on Saturday, Sept. 19.

This year’s Exhibit Hall will be back in Hall A for easier convenience and a shorter walk to the Hilton.

In addition to comparison shopping, the Exhibit Hall will feature special events each day:

  • Hops & Shops – Thursday, Sept. 17 from 4:30-6 p.m. Enjoy free central Ohio craft beers and snacks hosted by participating exhibitors.
  • Fashion Show – Friday, Sept. 18 from 12:30-1 p.m. Ohio dental professionals will model today’s best fashion – both for in the office and out!
  • Free Lunch! – Thursday, Sept. 17 from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. & Friday, Sept. 18 from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Be sure to stop by the Exhibit Hall to enjoy your free lunch while you shop from more than 150 dental-related companies.

Shoppers will also have a chance to register receipts from purchases made in the Exhibit Hall each day to receive chances to win a $500 Visa Card. There will also be a scavenger hunt and a “Best in Show” exhibitor competition with more chances to win great prizes.

Special Events

Come for the CE and Exhibit Hall, but stay for the fun! Annual Session features several special events for the entire dental team, where attendees can connect with friends and colleagues:
