The 2023 ODA Annual Session is Sept. 21-23 in Columbus.

The 2023 ODA Annual Session is Sept. 21-23 in Columbus at the Greater Columbus Convention Center and the Hilton Columbus Downtown Hotel.

“We look forward to offering high quality programming for you and your team,” said Dr. Lauren Czerniak, general chair of the 2023 ODA Annual Session. “This year, we will be featuring the Ritz Carlton Learning Institute for you and your staff. We look forward to having you join us and take part in all that Annual Session has to offer.”

ODA Annual Session will feature courses from the Ritz Carlton Learning Institute on Thursday, Sept. 21 and Friday, Sept. 22. The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center specializes in the art of transformational experiences. Back by popular demand, these hard-to-find presentations are designed to share legendary Ritz-Carlton best practices. Each program harnesses the processes, insights and Ritz-Carlton philosophies in a variety of formats that engage and inspire adult learners and audiences worldwide.

ODA Annual Session will also feature programming to assist dentists in securing the education necessary to satisfy the new DEA mandate, which requires DEA-registered practitioners to complete 8 hours of training on treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders.

“We know that the DEA has now created a new mandate for dentists, and as a result, the ODA is here to meet your needs,” Czerniak said. “At Annual Session, we are going to help provide you with several opportunities to receive continuing education that will fulfill the DEA’s 8 hour mandate. We look forward to bringing Tom Viola to Columbus to help you fulfill this requirement.”

ODA Annual Session attendees will also have access to up to 18 hours of free online CE with the cost of registration, available Sept. 24-Dec. 31. Online CE will include regulatory compliance courses, radiography for dental assistants and opioid education.

More than 150 companies are expected to be on-site at the ODA Annual Session Exhibit Hall.

In-person Exhibit Hall Hours:

  • Thursday, Sept. 15 from 12 to 6 p.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

New this year, the Exhibit Hall will feature a Manufacturer’s Showcase. The Manufacturer’s Showcase allows companies to easily demonstrate and provide educational Q&A about their specific products. Attendees have the opportunity to touch, feel and experience everything from various dental materials, equipment and products.

“At Annual Session, we always take pride in featuring a wonderful Exhibit Hall, where you have the opportunity to shop multiple vendors all under one roof,” Czerniak said. “This year, we are featuring a Manufacturers’ Showcase, where you will be able to see multiple floor demonstrations and test out some equipment that could be beneficial for you and your team.”

Attendees will also have a chance to enter to win a $500 VISA gift card each day, simply by making purchases in the Exhibit Hall. Receipts will be uploaded through the Annual Session mobile app, and the number of entries will be automatically calculated according to the total amount purchased daily. The more you buy, the more entries you will receive! One winner will be randomly selected one hour before the Exhibit Hall closes each day.
