The 2024 ODA Foundation Dental Student Scholarship application period is currently open. Scholarships are due June 21, 2024 at midnight. The process for applying for a scholarship is an online submission process. Review the 2024 Dental Student Scholarship Application Guidance and complete all needed parts prior to submitting your online application. You will not be able to start and stop the online application—it must be completed in one session.

- Click here to download the Financial Needs Assessment form to send to your school’s financial aid office.
- Click here to download the Academic Achievement Record form to send to a dental school official.
Once you have reviewed the 2024 Dental Student Scholarship Application Guidance document and have received the completed Financial Needs Assessment and Academic Achievement Record from your school, you can proceed to submitting your online application.

ODA Foundation Scholarships

Dental Student Scholarship
Each year, the ODA Foundation awards multiple dental student scholarships based on financial need, community service and dental school involvement to applicants who meet the following requirements:
- D2, D3, or D4 dental student in Fall 2024.
- Member of ASDA.
- Ohio resident.
Mercer Leadership Scholarship
Students entering their D4 year during Fall 2024 at OSU are also eligible to apply for the Dr. James F. Mercer Leadership Scholarship. To apply for the Mercer Leadership Scholarship, you must complete the Dental Student Scholarship Application and the optional Mercer Leadership Scholarship essays.
- OSU dental student entering his/her D4 year in Fall 2024.
- Ohio resident for at least five years.
- Member of ASDA.
- Have a commitment to leadership in dental school and the community.
