Toledo dentist installed as Ohio Dental Association president
Dr. Brett Pelok of Toledo was installed as president of the Ohio Dental Association on Sept. 18 during the ODA’s House of Delegates meeting.
The ODA’s Executive Director David Owsiany said, “Dr. Brett Pelok has served in leadership capacities within the Toledo Dental Society and the Ohio Dental Association and is well prepared to lead the dental profession in Ohio as the ODA’s president.”
As president of the ODA, Pelok will lead the association’s efforts to advance the interests of the dental profession and oral health of the citizens of Ohio.
Pelok is a general dentist in private practice in Toledo. He earned his DDS degree from The Ohio State University.
He is a current member of the ODA’s Finance Committee, past chair of the ODA Foundation Board of Trustees, past vice chair of the Board of Directors of the Ohio Dental Association Services Corp., and past chair of the ODA’s Dental Education and Licensure Committee. He is a past president of both the Maumee Valley Dental Society and Toledo Dental Society. He is a fellow of the International College of Dentists and Pierre Fauchard Academy.
The Ohio Dental Association represents more than 5,000 member dentists, nearly 70% of the state’s licensed dentists. ODA member dentists provide more than $40 million in donated care and services annually, and they are bound by the highest ethical standards and have access to superior ongoing education, training and resources.
