It’s not too late to register for ODA Annual Session

The 147th Ohio Dental Association Annual Session is just around the corner, but there’s still plenty of time to register.

Annual Session will be Sept. 19-22 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Registration will be available online throughout the event at and on-site.

On-site registration will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19; from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20; from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21; and from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Sept. 22.

If registering on-site, be sure to arrive at the registration desk at least one hour before the first course you plan to attend to make sure you have time to complete the registration before the course begins. The ODA also recommends that you have several back-up courses picked out because popular courses tend to fill up quickly.

Attendees should note that course materials will be available online at and should be printed or downloaded before the course. You will need your registration number to access the materials.

Free Exhibit Hall pass on Saturday only

If you are coming to Columbus on Saturday, Sept. 21, for the OSU football game, you can secure a Saturday Exhibits Only Pass. This registration category will allow any dentist or staff member to register for free in order to shop the Exhibit Hall on Saturday, Sept. 21. This is the perfect opportunity for people who have completed their CE requirements already but would like to shop in the Exhibit Hall, or who have never been to Annual Session and want to discover what the Exhibit Hall is all about. Registrants in this category are not permitted to attend CE courses, Table Clinics, or receive any other benefit included with other registration categories.

The ODA Annual Session is “The Source” for Continuing Education, supplies, camaraderie, entertainment, networking and more. The event has something to offer the entire dental team, from nationally known speakers to special events.

Speakers will cover a wide variety of topics, from pathology to practice management aimed at dentists, specialists, hygienists, dental assistants, EFDAs and office staff. Check out a full listing of courses and speakers at

One of the most popular special events at Annual Session is The Bash! Taking place on Callahan’s rooftop patio, attendees are sure to enjoy a fun time with good friends, convenient bars and no cover charge. The Bash! will be held Friday, Sept. 20 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Callahan’s is located on Park Street in the Arena District, within walking distance of the Convention Center. No registration is required.

Another great event will be the New Dentist Reception at Bar Louie. This event offers dentists in practice for 10 years or less a chance to reconnect with old friends and meet new colleagues from across the state. The reception will be from 8 to 10 p.m. in the Arena District. Register with Event Code E92.
