Akron oral surgeon installed as Ohio Dental Association immediate past president

Dr. David Kimberly of Akron was installed as immediate past president of the Ohio Dental Association on Oct. 1 during the ODA’s House of Delegates meeting.

In his role as immediate past president, Kimberly will serve on the ODA’s Executive Committee overseeing the management of the association throughout the next year.

Kimberly is an oral surgeon in private practice in Akron. He earned his BS and DDS degrees from the Case Western Reserve University and his MD degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine.

He is a past president of the Akron Dental Society and past chair of the ODA Council on Dental Care Programs and Dental Practice and Ethics Subcommittee. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, International College of Dentists and American Dental Society of Anesthesiologists.

The Ohio Dental Association represents more than 5,000 member dentists, nearly 70% of the state’s licensed dentists. ODA member dentists provide more than $40 million in donated care and services annually, and they are bound by the highest ethical standards and have access to superior ongoing education, training and resources.
