Medina endodontist installed as Ohio Dental Association president-elect
Dr. Najia Usman of Medina was installed as vice president of the Ohio Dental Association on Sept. 18 during the ODA’s House of Delegates meeting.
In her role as president-elect, Usman will serve on the ODA’s Executive Committee overseeing the management of the association throughout the next year.
Usman is an endodontist in private practice in Medina. She earned her DDS degree from the State University of New York, and her Certificate in Endodontology from the Oregon Health Sciences University.
She is a past secretary of the ODA, past chair of the ODA’s Council on Membership Services, past member of the ODA’s Annual Session Committee, and past chair of the ADA’s Council on Dental Education and Licensure. She is a past president of the Medina County Dental Society. She is a member of the International College of Dentists and Pierre Fauchard Academy.
The Ohio Dental Association represents more than 5,000 member dentists, nearly 70% of the state’s licensed dentists.
