The ODA Foundation helps to attract the highest caliber of candidates to dentistry and help expand the pool of qualified dental auxiliaries for dental practices within Ohio. Eligibility includes academic merit and financial need. Students pursuing a career in the following areas are encouraged to apply:
- Dentist
- Dental Hygienist
- Dental Assistant
- Expanded Function Dental Assistant
Scholarship recipients have attended dental programs at the following Ohio schools:
- Case School of Dental Medicine
- Choffin Career Center
- Columbus State Community College
- Lorain Community College
- Medina County Career Center
- Raymond Walters College
- Ohio Valley College of Technology
- Owens Community College
- Stark State College of Technology
- The Ohio State University
- Youngstown State University
Since 1999, the ODA Foundation has awarded $191,500 in dental career scholarships in Ohio. Our commitment to supporting dental education in Ohio is strong and continues for 2010. There are now separate scholarship applications for each program: dentist, dental assistant, dental hygiene and expanded function dental assisting.
Areas of these applications can now be filled in online and printed out. Please note, you cannot save the application with the information on it. Be sure to print out each page as it is completed so you do not lose the data that was entered.
